This tour starts at the Yukon Alaska Tourist Tours ticket office located in downtown Whitehorse (across from the visitor information centre) at 102 Lambert Street. Travelling by Highway Coach to Fraser, BC, connecting with the world famous narrow gauge White Pass railway over the White Pass Summit and into Skagway, Alaska. Both bus and rail are narrated with seasoned local drivers who can entertain you with the rich history of the highway. A brief stop at historic Carcross and photo-op along the way. Points of interest of this trip are summarized below. You will be in Skagway for about 3 hrs, enough to drain your wallet with exciting gifts, memorabilia, etc. You may just want to walk around or see museums or shows. Then at 3:00 PM the bus meets you in Skagway and brings you back to Whitehorse around 6:00 PM. The rail ride according to many, is the "ultimate" highlight (or one of the highlights) of their Skagway visit. Imagine you are on top of the mountain almost 3000’ above sea level on an engineering marvel, railway built of gold. Scenery is breathtaking!
